Longines was delighted to be back at the foot of the Eiffel Tower to witness the world’s finest riders and horses compete during three days of competition at the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping. As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Longines Global Champions Tour series, the brand lent its name to the weekend’s highlight trials, which were both claimed by the German rider Christian Ahlmann.
On Saturday, he pulled off a remarkable victory in the much-anticipated Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris with his mare Take A Chance On Me Z. On Sunday, he took his second win on Ailina in the Longines Eiffel Challenge, which concluded perfectly this thrilling equestrian rendezvous.
The Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, which included the eleventh leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour, gathered the world’s best riders and horses in front of one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world.
Longines is proud to have timed the victory of Christian Ahlmann on Take A Chance On Me Z in one of the weekend’s highlight trials, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris. Longines Vice President Marketing, Matthieu Baumgartner, presented the German rider with an elegant Longines timepiece as a reward of his performance. The elegance of the heart was enhanced during this prestigious competition, as Longines lent its support to JustWorld International – a charity organization which collects funds to help impoverished children – through the “Longines Clear The Jump”.
On Sunday, Christian Alhmann on Ailina took his second win and shined in the Longines Eiffel Challenge, which concluded this thrilling equestrian weekend. He finished ahead of Abdel Saïd (EGY) on Jumpy van de Hermitage and Ben Maher (GBR) on Don Vito.
Over the weekend, the spectators had the opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event, a model from the iconic HydroConquest collection. This line combines classic elegance and watchmaking excellence, both distinguishing hallmarks of the winged hourglass brand.
