The Longines Hong Kong International Races

This year again, the Longines Hong Kong International Races delivered on their promise to bring a spectacular conclusion to a thrilling year of flat racing. The numerous spectators enjoyed no fewer than four international Group 1 races: the Longines Hong Kong Vase, Longines Hong Kong Sprint, Longines Hong Kong Mile and Longines Hong Kong Cup, considered as the highlights of the day. The event was marked by the presence of the brand’s Ambassador of Elegance Jung Woo-Sung, who presented the Longines Prize for Elegance to a lady chosen for her outstanding outfit.

For the delight of all the enthusiastic race fans in attendance, the Longines Hong Kong International Races featured this year again stunning performances from some of the world’s best racehorses and jockeys. As regards the four international Group 1 races held on that day, the Longines Hong Kong Vase was claimed by Exultant ridden by Zac Purton, who also grabbed the first place in the Longines Hong Kong Mile aboard Beauty Generation. Mr Stunning led by Karis Teetan triumphed in the Longines Hong Kong Sprint, while the Longines Hong Kong Cup was won by Glorious Forever and Silvestre de Sousa.

This unmissable event, of which the Swiss watch brand has been the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper since 2012, is year after year the perfect illustration that racing excellence can successfully combine with great refinement. Indeed, Longines lent an elegant touch to this world-class event by inviting acclaimed South Korean actor and Ambassador of Elegance Jung Woo-Sung to attend the race day, and to present the Longines Prize for Elegance to the most elegant female spectator in attendance.

Earlier that day, the brand officially celebrated the re-opening of its Ocean Center boutique, located in Tsim Sha Tsui, the most important shopping district in Hong Kong. Together with Jung-Woo Sung, Walter von Känel, Longines President, Kevin Rollenhagen, Managing Director of Swatch Group Hong Kong Limited and Karen Au Yeung, Vice President of Longines Hong Kong, took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of guests and representatives from the media.
