The First Swiss Edition Of The Longines Masters Smiles Upon Gudrun Patteet

For the very first time, the Longines Masters reached the shores of Lake Leman in the city of Lausanne, providing four days of exceptional competitions in front of a large audience who came to cheer on the world’s best riders as well as the discipline’s younger generation. As the event’s Title Partner and Official Timekeeper, Longines was delighted to lend its name to two of the weekend’s key trials, the Longines Speed Challenge, won by Emanuele Gaudiano on Carlotta, and the Longines Grand Prix of Lausanne, which featured the brilliant victory of Gudrun Patteet on Sea Coast Pebbles Z.

After four days of intense competitions held by Lake Leman, in the Place Bellerive, the first Swiss stage of the Longines Masters concluded on Sunday with the long-awaited Longines Grand Prix of Lausanne, which brought together several of the sport’s biggest names. Following an emotional trial, rider Gudrun Patteet (BEL) on Sea Coast Pebbles Z finished with a well-deserved victory. They were joined on the podium by Giulia Martinengo Marquet (IT) on Elzas and Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) on Katanga v/h Dingeshof, who came second and third place respectively.

On Saturday night, the participants in the Longines Speed Challenge – the weekend’s second key trial – wowed the spectators by pushing the limits of speed in this trial renowned for being the fastest in the world. In the end, the Emanuele Gaudiano/Carlotta pair were the winners, finishing the trial ahead of Steve Guerdat on Evita and Philippe Rozier on Cristallo A LM.

As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Longines Masters of Lausanne, the Swiss watchmaking brand, alongside EEM, the organisers, was proud to reward these two experienced riders with the trial trophy, as well as some elegant Longines watches.

The spectators present during this equestrian event devoted to sporting performance also had the chance to discover the Longines Masters of Lausanne’s Official Watch, a model from the iconic HydroConquest collection. This line combines classic elegance and watchmaking excellence, both distinguishing hallmarks of the winged hourglass brand. Drawing inspiration from the fascinating world of water sports, the pieces from this collection display a bezel enhanced by a ceramic coloured insert, which matches the colour of the dial and brings them a modernized design and sporty silhouette.
