Daniel Deusser And Tobago Z Claimed Stunning Victory At The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Leg In Bordeaux

On Saturday 9 February, German rider Daniel Deusser on Tobago Z finished first at the second French leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Western European League series.

On this occasion, Longines and the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) are proud to have honored the 2018 Longines FEI World’s Best Jumping Rider & Horse. Switzerland’s talented rider Steve Guerdat and Sweden’s amazing mare Albfuehren’s Bianca are the great winners of these awards, which aim to recognize achievements and outstanding performances in jumping across the world.
 

As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the series, the Swiss watch brand Longines was proud to witness the victory of German rider Daniel Deusser on Tobago Z, while Belgium rider Gregory Wathelet on Iron Man van de Padenborre and Spanish rider Eduardo Alvarez Aznar on Rokfeller de Pleville Bois Margot secured second and third place respectively. On this occasion, Longines was proud to grant Daniel Deusser with an elegant Longines timepiece as a reward for his great performance.
 

Over the weekend, Longines has highlighted the Official Watch of the event, the Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” model, representing a new achievement in the field of quartz, combining great precision, high technicality and a sporty look, marked by the brand’s unique elegance. Displaying a silver dial, this timepiece houses an ultra-precise movement (+- 5 seconds/year), as well as a perpetual calendar.
 

Longines FEI World’s Best Jumping Rider & Horse Awards

Moreover, Longines and the FEI were delighted to celebrate equestrian excellence by presenting the Longines FEI World’s Best Jumping Horse and Rider Awards to the 2018 world’s highest officially rated jumping horse and rider. Switzerland’s rider Steve Guerdat set himself apart in some of the greatest 2018 show jumping competitions and finished the year with a total of 3050 points in the Longines Rankings ahead of Harrie Smolders (NED) with 2995 points and Marcus Ehning (GER) with 2936 points. On the other hand, Swedish mare Albfuehren’s Bianca is the winner of the 2018 Longines FEI World’s Best Jumping Horse Award with a memorable victory in the World Equestrian Games competition notably.
 

Steve Guerdat and Albfuehren’s Bianca’s representative were both granted elegant Longines timepieces, as well as a replica trophy in the form of a magnificent crystal winged hourglass in reference to the brand’s emblem, from the hands of Frederic Bondoux, Brand Manager of Longines France and Alix Rossi, Head of Sponsorship and event management FEI.

As the Top Partner of the FEI, Longines is looking forward to witnessing the world’s best riders and horses in the much-anticipated Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final, which will take place in Gothenburg from 3-7 April 2019.
