2018 Prix de Diane Longines

The traditional equestrian rendezvous of the Prix de Diane Longines will take place on Sunday 17 June 2018 in the idyllic setting of the Chantilly Racecourse, known as the capital of the horse.

As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the event, Longines and its Partner France Galop proudly presented this new edition, during which a “Nature” spirit will adorn the sumptuous Domain of Chantilly, during a press dinner held tonight at the ParisLongchamp Racecourse. The culminating race of the day will be the Prix de Diane Longines, which promises great moments of sports. On this occasion, the great winner will be granted an elegant Longines timepiece from the hands of Chinese actress and Longines Ambassador of Elegance Zhao Liying. During this event renowned for the elegance of its attendance, Zhao Liying will also have the honor to present the winner of the “Mademoiselle Diane by Longines” award – which celebrates the most elegant lady at the racecourse – with a model belonging to the Record collection, the Official Watch of this 169th edition.
 

France Galop and Longines - the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the event - presented tonight to the press the 169th edition of the Prix de Diane Longines, which will take place on Sunday 17 June 2018 at the Chantilly Racecourse. This day embodies the elegance true to the Prix de Diane Longines and will be punctuated by eight thoroughbred races, including the highlight race, the Prix de Diane Longines, which is known as the world’s most important race for fillies.

On this occasion, young jockeys from all over the world and amateur lady riders from  the FEGENTRI (International Federation of Gentlemen and Lady Riders) will respectively compete for the Prix Longines Future Racing Stars and Prix de La Reine Marie-Amélie Longines on the racecourse near the sumptuous Château de Chantilly. It has always been important to the Swiss watchmaking company to promote the talents’ of tomorrow and the amateurs’ passion to their favorite sport. Therefore, the brand is delighted to reward the races’ champions with an elegant timepiece.
 

Besides these high-level competitions, the Diane’s Village will live to the rhythm of the tens of thousands visitors attending, where nature reigns supreme. On this eventful day, the winning horse’s owner, trainer and jockey of the Prix de Diane Longines will be granted an elegant Longines watch from the hands of Chinese actress and Longines Ambassador of Elegance, Zhao Liying.

This day will also be the occasion for the spectators to discover the Official Watch of event, a new model of the Record collection. This line combines classic elegance and excellence, aspiring to become the spearheads of the brand. Moreover, this automatic timepiece houses a chronometer movement with unique properties, certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). The 2018 Prix de Diane Longines’ featured timepiece can be admired on the wrists of the finalists of the “Mademoiselle Diane by Longines” award, which celebrates the female racegoer with the most outstanding look and style. For the first time this year, the Swiss watch brand will have the pleasure to invite the spectators to discover its different collections, in its Boutique located at the very heart of the Diane’s Village.

Furthermore, Longines is delighted to support the exhibition “Painting the Races”, taking place at the Domain of Chantilly from 16 June to 14 October 2018, as its main patron. The Swiss watch brand is proud to be associated with this exhibition, which will allow the public to discover exceptional artworks, from the late 18th to the late 19th century, around the theme of horse racing. Indeed, the equestrian universe is essential for Longines as its history has been linked to it for more than 140 years.
